About Garrison LeMasters

CCTP660 Digital Studio

Hands-on course (with theoretical component) explores the nature of digital poiesis and computational expression in order to move beyond reductive 20th Century clichés about new media and interactivity.

Drawing on the theoretical insights of scholars like Marjorie Perloff, Loss Pequeño Glazier, N. Katherine Hayles, Ian Bogost, and Mark Amerika, students learn to use aural, visual, and procedural software in order to conceive, create, and distribute their own experimental texts.
